The Copy-Paste mistake
Come on, admit it - who doesn't enjoy the ease of Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V - good old, copy-paste. Most of us who are teachers warn our students about the dangers of copy/paste. It can be used to copy content from one part of a document to another, but they MUST NOT copy content from the Web and use it. That is called plagiarism, and it's bad! However, are we guilty of doing something similar - educational plagiarism - where we copy approaches from the old classroom and attempt to paste them into the new classroom?
In this lesson we will explore the debilitating scourge of taking a copy-paste approach to education, and the need for a new paradigm.
